About PART RECOVERY

PART RECOVERY is a service of the FIT Additive Manufacturing Group.

Since 1995 FIT develops and produces technical components for demanding industrial applications. With more than 30 years of experience, a broad spectrum of additive and conventional manufacturing technologies and comprehensive engineering and quality assurance expertise, FIT supports customers worldwide in the production of complex components and spare parts.

Why PART RECOVERY?

Obsolescence cases can rarely be solved by a single manufacturing process. Missing suppliers, lost drawings, worn components or materials that are no longer available often require a combination of:

Exactly this combination is the foundation of PART RECOVERY.

The technology base

FIT operates an unusually broad manufacturing environment.

In addition to numerous additive technologies, conventional processes are also available. These include, among others, CNC machining, vacuum casting, elastomer manufacturing and further industrial production methods. As a result, the suitable solution can be derived from the project requirements rather than from the limits of a single process.

Engineering instead of process

Recovery projects do not start with a machine. They start with questions:

Only then the appropriate recovery strategy is defined.

Experience with regulated industries

FIT has been working for many years for industries with high demands on quality, documentation and evidence. These include, among others:

Certifications and quality-assured processes are the basis for the realization of demanding recovery projects.

Our understanding of recovery

We do not understand recovery as a manufacturing order.

We understand recovery as the restoration of availability.

That is why we look at obsolescence cases from the perspective of the entire system:

Requirement → recovery strategy → execution → evidence → availability

The goal is not the manufacture of a part.

The goal is the return of an asset into operation.
